
Course Description
This LabCoP Special ECHO Session focuses on emerging global health cooperation models and their implications for African laboratory systems.
The session supports countries, laboratory leaders, and policymakers to better understand and interpret ongoing global shifts in health cooperation, with the aim of strengthening strategic and evidence-based decision-making. It provides an impartial platform to review real-world examples of new cooperation frameworks, discuss critical policy and leadership questions, and introduce practical tools for evaluating MOUs and similar agreements relevant to laboratory systems.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand key shifts in global health cooperation models
- Identify implications for national and regional laboratory systems in Africa
- Reflect on critical questions for laboratory leadership and policy decision-making
- Apply basic principles for assessing MOUs and cooperation agreements
